Extravaganzas!

21 02 2009

Ive been busy these past two weeks being part of my teams extravaganzas in Hamilton and Tauranga. Extravaganzas are where 30-10o people attend and you get taught 5 projects for a flat fee. Here are a couple of the the projects I have taught.

In Hamilton Jennifer Montgomery and I taught this pop up card using Eastern Blooms set, Bali Breeze DSP and rose red, old olive, taken with teal and pumpkin pie colour combos.

img_5276It folds flat to put it into an envelope and you pull the tag up to pop it up.

The next project is what I taught yesterday at Tauranga.

img_52781Its a easter acetate pillow box using A good egg stamp set, petals and pasley and spring fling DSPs, a scallop circle punch and a crimper.

Thanks to all the ladies who attended on the day. If you are interested in attending an extravaganza, I have one coming up in Rotorua in April. Contact me to find out more!

So terrible!

9 02 2009

My very deep condolences go out to the victorians who have lost loved ones..their houses with all of their photos and memories ..just gone in a puff of wind. My blood is boiling at the ones who have deliberately set fires …ummm very very angry here! Dont forget there is also livestock that have perished too  but the 127 or so lives lost so far? Far out! Those poor poor people and the relatives..man Id hate to be in that situation.

img_5245Onto cards …Im involved with a couple of card projects for people in need and urge you all to send a card to the ones affected

If you are interested in sending a card to the OZ bushfires card drive post here and I can give you the address to send it too.

Onto other things here are a couple of cards I did last week for my fortnightly card class ..teaching the art of faux shave cream…very effective dont you think?

This technique really suits the solid image stamps like bodacious bouquet here.

I did this card up to show/teach my ladies at card class on Thursday. Its using the spotlighting technique.

Ive used wild wasabi and blue bayou cardstock, green galore, soft sky and blue bayou ink pads and the stamp sets used are Eastern Blooms and short and sweet.

The colours arent quite right in this photo and will try to retake photo this arvo.

My classes have started back last week so if you now have some time to spare check out my class schedule on the next page.
