Easter basket

I got inspired by reading Alisa Tilsner’s blog the other day and she made some cute cute Easter baskets.

So I had a play and came up with this one …very easy to do I have to say!

Simply Scrappin kits

Im not sure if you know but I am a scrapbooker on a couple of design teams in New Zealand …(Up2Scrap (elite team) and Scrappin Patch)…..see my other blog (see side bar) for some non su and my style LOs…so when it comes to SU I just want to put all those other bits and pieces like lace and buttons and transparencies that arent SU…and cant demonstrate that style as most of my customers are new to scrapbooking …so I bought myself a Crew kid boys kit .which will be retiring from this catalogue on the 31st… I wanted to challenge myself to do some simple Layouts (for me) and here are 4 of them all done in 3 hours…I could do several more at least! with the kit so these kits are well worth the price ! The new catty is out soon and I am  in love with some of the new kits out..so look out for those….as I said they are well worth it  ..I could get 8 plus LOs out of this kit using the simple scrapbooking style ..the plus being some cards from leftovers..

Im wanting feedback as to the (middle to advanced scrappers out there) as to whether you want page kits for advanced classes ..using techniques that I know I can teach you with the new papers and chipboard just about to be released…so email me what you think and if you are interested…cramfamily@farmside.co.nz

All of the above Los are with photos taken before I started scrapbooking ..its good to make LOs with good AND bad photos yes? Ive been teaching scrapbooking for several years now and I love it!

Riding Hood ..

A quick post before I take off to my scrapbooking class tonight (I teach ACE at the local high school)

Heres a couple of cards I did yesterday using one of the New In colours Riding Hood Red and using A Good Friend stamp set for the pocket card and the same for the Freshcuts card. You may spy a new brad in there which are the flower brads..

Triangle box

Okay this idea is not new but my talented upline Patrice first showed me this a couple of months ago and Ive been itching to do this box again. The one she showed me how to do I have used as a pen holder but for this I am using it as a gift box.

All done in the new ‘in colours’ about to hit the new 2009-10 SU  IB & C.

Colours used are Pacific Point, Kiwi kiss and Tangerine Tango. The stamp set Ive used is Pick a Petal and the swirl from Priceless. I have used coaster on the outside of the box and the coaster chipboard for the flowers.

New in colour sneak peek

on this card using kiwi kiss and pacific blue…the in colours are lovely and fresh!!! Check back in a few days for more sneaks. You see the colour of kiwi kiss better on the heart.  The paper shown is a newbie too and is called ‘good morning sunshine’ very cute owls and birds on the paper I have to say!

The stamp set is Priceless which Im glad is staying in the new catalogue. It is a pop up card ..really easy to do too!! And the thank you is from the short and sweet set.

Bodacious swing card and gift box

Heres a couple of things Ive been making with my favourite stamp set which unfortunately is retiring at the end of this month. It is one of the sets on the Bush Fire Appeal list where SU will donate 50% of the sale to the bush fire appeal..right on SU!!!

Stamp sets used are Bodacious Bouquet, live your dream (summer mini -butterfly), en francais (back of swing card), Its all good (another retiring set),swirly roller and short and sweet. I used Bashful blue as my cardstock  (and whisper white for stamping) and the paper used is Old Olive DSP. The punches used are the scallop edge punch and one inch punch on the gift box and a large oval on the card. Ribbon is bashful blue crosgrain ribbon and soft sky double stitched ribbon and Ive used some silver hodgepodge hardware on the gift box too.

These are very easy to do and have that wow factor when you pull the edges apart. I was showing the different embossing techniques and use of crystal effects but its hard to see from these photos.

So long… farewell..
