I LOVE my new goodies!

Ive been having a ball playing with all my new pre order goodies  lately and this basket came together so quickly!  This is the beauty of being a demo when you can convince your Hubby that you are working rather than just being a hobby! lol

My accountant.. who is probably reading this ..wont be so happy with me as she waits for our farming books to come in for their yearly audit!  Procrastinator..yep sticks hand up high!

This box is a scallop envelope box which is available on splitcoaststampers. Only thing is that you need the scallop envelope die for the Bigshot which is available only from Stampin’ Up! ..and is in the new mini coming out next month. Put it on your wishlist now! I think the little envelopes are gorgeous dont you? Perfect for a gift card. I love the versatility though of this die to make a little box. Ive put a choc chip muffin in this but a cupcake or filled with lollies or easter eggs would also suit!

Ive used: Pink Plamingo DSP, Butterfly punch, white Grosgrain ribbon. Tempting tourquoise brad. Scallop envelope die, Large two step bird punch. Real red cardstock. summer sun cardstock and cameo coral cardstock.

BUT!!! the pansy on the side of this box is using the butterfly punch which is only available until the 31st …tutorial to come!

Faux linen card

Just add Inks colour challenge is using these colours this week . After initially thinking hmm how am I going to use those colours..I came up with this faux linen technique card. The set Ive used here is call Eastern Influences which had not seen any ink yet from my hoarde of stamp sets lol

Faux linen is using glossy cardstock and sanding it back and then applying ink with a sponge. I used water colour crayons and blender pens to colour the images in..water colour crayons are lovely to use and you get a lovely consistent coverage. I finished off the card inside with Cameo coral. Hope to see lots of inspiration from you girls this week for JAI#10!

Easter Basket

Ive been wanting to do one of these  Easter baskets  ever since it popped up on splitcoaststampers.

Next week Im teaching at the local intermediate school for their incentives program and this is just one of the 12 projects I have planned (well in my head anyway lol)..Its a 3 day thing.

Pendant park meeting

Last night I whipped up this card and Im rather happy how it turned out!  I love these squirrels which is part of a new set coming out in the Autumn/ winter mini catalogue next month.  Its called Pendant Park. The bushes are using a new favourite called Autumn Days.  You cant quite see but I have also ghosted the edges and then I brayered over with Garden Green. Adding more stamping and dazzling diamonds for the highlights.

Ive popped it onto Black cardstock …I really needed a lamp post  to set it off but dont have one in my stash.

Off to do some more crafting..busy week ahead!

Happy stamping!

Rich Razzleberry Card purse

Just Add Ink has a sketch this week and this is my take on the sketch .. Ive used a card purse template from Mel stampz and used Rich Razzleberry CS and Ink and this gorgeous new DSP which is available from April 1st. It is called Cottage Wall and has a matching stamp set called Cottage Garden ..which is what Ive used here. I love it to bits!

Ive made 4 little cards showcasing one of the new punches (Extra large two step bird) and the Little Leaves sizzlit die and the Thanks Embosslit die.

anyway go check out the sketch and what the other Design Team have done ..which of course are WOW projects and hope you have fun this week with Just Add Ink.

The Summer mini is going to be retiring in 12 days so best get your orders in before all your wishlist retires. I always get a customer who asks for an item a week after the mini retires so get your orders in now to avoid any disappointment.

Ive just set up a team forum for my small team on ning which is fantastic for sharing our ideas rather than through email ..much quicker!!

If you are thinking of signing up dont forget that through Saleabration (which also finishes in 12 days) you can get an extra stamp set worth $93.95 (your choice) in addition to your starter kit. Contact me today if you want to know more or you can go online to my SU website

Even though I am in the BOP ..I welcome downlines anywhere in NZ.  I am a supportive if slightly crazy upline which is why my team is called The Del Ink quents..but seriously..would love to welcome a new team member so contact me!

Soft suede ghosting

Lisa Bullock made a card the other day on her blog and as Id never done this technique before i was inspired to have a go..and especially with a new colour!! Ive tried out the other new colours of Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry but wanted to have a go with Soft Suede. All of these new colours will available to purchase in the new Autumn- winter mini catalogue ..which goes live on the 1st April.

Heres what I came up with.

Ive used Vintage vogue for my ghosting. I also sanded it back a bit to get an aged feel to it. Im keen to have a go with a sepia photo on a scrapbook page with this colour so watch this space!

Ive used the Extra Large 2 step bird punch as well as the little leaves sizzlit die which is a Stampin’ Up!  Exclusive die.  White Grosgrain ribbon, clear rhinestone brad, signo white gel pen, soft suede cardstock, ribbon and ink, large oval punch, scallop oval punch (which you can still order btw) and the ‘thinking of you’ is out of the Trendy trees stamp set…oops and of course versamark!

This card is making its way to a lovely customer of mine who is in Hospital at the moment..get well soon Shirley!

Playing with some new goodies..

Yep I couldnt resist. Some I cant show you yet but heres one little card I did today using a pendant note card. It normally has an insert but I pulled it out and made it into a window card.

Monochromatic LOs

When I explain to my scrap classes that we are doing monochromatic LOs this month..Im sure they might think ..that sounds boring but when they get to actually do one they just LOVE doing them.

Ive used white and reds here on these LOs but any colour is fun to do.

Here are my two LOs to show. Im  also teaching how to make your own glitter chipboard, making your own 3D flowers and using the circle scissor plus and using the mat pack for balancing effect. One of my ladies on Saturday loved it so much she went onto to doing 4 more LOs using the techniques I taught..gotta love that!

masculine card and swap

I have a team training on this weekend and the theme is masculine cards ..this card is what Ive been teaching this month and so Ive done a similar card for my team swaps …ive been loving working with bold brights lately and loved making these. Basically it is a pocket card but Ive changed it to add on a gift card pocket and place for a photo…would suit Dad or Fathers day.

I cant wait to go to training on Sunday/tomorrow as it is soo much fun to be there ..sharing ideas ..lots of laughter and being inspired by others. If you are thinking of joining Stampin Up! Its a wonderful time to do so. My upline is wonderful to me and I hope to be to my small team. My team swap stamps and resources often and are in constant contact. We have stamp camps twice a year and catch up weekly/fortnightly or monthly depending where we all are. Email me to find out more if you are interested.  I currently have a gift basket promotion going to win if you sign up as a demonstrator with me during this month (march 2010)

Tomorrow Im posting my monochromatic LOs for this months scrapbooking classes. The ladies raved about it today so check out my blog tomorrow for the LOs.

Okay off to bed
