SAH 10 minute card

This week it was my turn to pick some colours for the Stampaholic DT 10/20/30 challenge and this week we have these colours and 10 minutes to complete our card in. This is what I came up with ..Ive used the Baja breeze felt flowers from the Flower fusion too. The stamps I have used is the wonderful Baroque Motifs and Teeny Tiny sentiments.  Inside I used Urban Oasis DSP and coloured the rose in ..I cant find my old olive marker at the moment and would have loved to colour in the stem ..arrgh its probably buried under my mountain of a mess in my craft room lol..no time to clean up when you are in the thick of calving! (well thats my excuse and Im sticking to it lol!)

Just add a sketch

This week at Just add ink we have a sketch challenge which I immediately thought Id scrap a LO for it. Heres the sketch we had to work with

and this is what I came up with.

This LO is for my sister as it was a memory that I wanted her to keep.lol

Ive used good morning sunshine paper and kraft cardstock on this LO. The chipboard is On board essentials and on board lots of letters.

The stamps Ive used is Life definitions and a level one hostess set.

Still busy with calving here 160 cows calved and 200 to go! ..so that means I have taught 150 calves to feed ..gee Im not  even half way yet!

Yesterday I arrived at my very large calf rearing barn to find that my first mob of heifer replacement calves were all out! They had help themselves to the milk in the mobile calfeteria and were busy hooning around like idiots! Luckily they didnt want to go outside ..I would have cried at that point! So I grabbed them all (huffed and puffed while doing so) and got them all back in ..all 35 of them. Great for the weightloss but as I was supposed to be talking to DS’s teachers and senior student parent/teacher interviews..I was not amused!

Black and white

Ive been scrapbooking this week in between feeding the squillions of calves that have been born this week..okay Im exaggerating but Im battered and bruised in places you wouldnt believe..courtesy of bunts from hungry calves. lol Its only the first official week of calving and Im over it already!

Anyway heres the LO I did ..which I thought was the sketch this week for the Stampaholic DT but I was wrong ..never mind I’m showing you it anyway. Sorry about the quality of the pics..its hard to take a photo of black and white projects!

Just Add Colour

This week at Just Add Ink we  have a colour combo which at first I thought eeek! But I love the colour combo and how my card turned out ..Im enjoying clean and simple cards at the moment too which is pretty nifty when you are busy like I am at the moment.

So here is my card and the inside of  the card (which I kind of like even better lol) Thanks to all who came and saw me at the Rotorua Womens Expo last weekend. Particularly to the ladies on my newsletter list ..it was lovely to meet you all again. Thanks for stopping by.

Got to run and feed hungry calves now I have 20 in my pens to feed and 330 to come! Sigh..

Stampaholic Inspiration challenge

I love inspiration challenges and this one was by Becky. Unfortunately I havent had much time this week with calving started and having been robbed of our calf trailer and farm ATV (4WD quad bike) and having to deal with police and insurance assessors.
Ive also been sick ..and two kids sick and I am about to head off to the Rotorua Womens Lifestyle and Expo show so been busy with that even though this is all been going on! You get my drift..
Heres my simple as card ..you dont get to see these often but I kinda like it ..and as it only took me 4 1/2 minutes to do ..well thats pretty darn quick and efficient aye? Laugh. I think 4 and a half minutes is my record actually!
My downline Jenn saw the card and wanted to borrow/use my Pun fun stamp set asap..so a spin off there too. I was inspired by the scallop shell with a hint of pink..well I got a bit carried away with that but kept the crimping and the sanded stamping on the Kraft CS …I lurve kraft or crumb cake as its being renamed by SU in the next catalogue!
My Westie has been in the bad books with me over the last couple of weeks …but thats another post for when I get time to photograph the evidence. Dogs ..

Just Add a Sketch

This week at Just Add Ink its sketch time and this was the sketch we had to work with

Ive been having a play with the bouncing brayer technique this week (another use of my favourite tool ..the brayer) and this is what Ive come up with

Very very busy here and all of my family have been sick (including me) this week which is totally not on!! Today I am setting up at the Rotorua Womens Expo in Rotorua so come and see Patrice and I this weekend at the Energy Events Centre.
