Just Add Inspiration

I’m home from holiday and still on holiday mode obviously as I didn’t realise it was Friday! JustAdd Ink Challenge day…

This week we have this picture

as our inspiration challenge. You can take inspiration from the photo or you could take it as what makes you happy.

This is what I came up with as Ive been having a play with my alcohol inks lately. I have a sizeable stash of tins at my place..actually  I collect tins of all sorts and this one was orginally a mint tin. Ive put some raspberry drops in my tin as  raspberry drops make me happy lol I but have found someone else who loves them too so this is a little gift for them. I was also inspired by the flower and used the Island Oasis DSP and cut out the flowers on that. I also used my new Blossom party Bigz die as well.

So I hope you can play along this week. Check out the other Design Team Members wonderful creations here

Stampaholic Saturday

Hi there sorry about the short post but Im still up north on holiday and heres this weeks Stampaholic DT work. Its a scrapbook theme by Mitzi. This week you have to have Love on your LO somewhere.

Heres mine done in 20 minutes so a very simple one this week.

and heres the journalling. There is more on the back of my LO. I often do this when its personal stuff and dont want everyone to read lol

So hope you can play along this week.

Just Add A Sketch

Im away on Holiday at the moment ..right up the very tip of the North Island fishing, swimming, reading and relaxing. This week at Just Add Ink we have a sketch challenge and have a sketch to play with. You can check it out here.

Heres what I came up with using a Lauren Meader template (you should guess right now that I love these lol)

and whats inside? My holiday party kit…lol

Go and check out what the other DT have done and hope you play along this week!

SAH Inspirational Challenge 152

I LOVE inspirational challenges and this one is fab!! Imagine getting married at this setting? Thanks Marisol for the inspiration! You can check out what the other DT have done here

This is what I came up with in 12 1/2  minutes as I had to mask the pocket silhouettes stamp. I used poppy parade CS and Ink and Confetti White cardstock and embossed it with the vintage wall embossing folder. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny sentiments which was on special last month. I had lots of customers buy it ..did you?

and we have been eagerly watching and mothering (me) these and have 25 crysali in various states of pupae. Fascinating to watch and my large swan plant has had a hammering. Need to plant more!

You can see lots of aphids on here too and the praying mantis and ladybugs are having a feast too.

So hope you can play along this week. A card in 15 minutes? Go on try it!

Just Add Monochrome

This week we have a challenge that I love to do..monochromatic. I teach this often with scrapbooking LOs but have not done it for cards for a while so it was great to do this challenge this week.

I went for white.

I used Confetti White cardstock and embossed it with the Lattice embossing folder.

Its wedding season over here it seems at the moment so Ive been doing a few wedding cards lately.

The white lace is non SU but it just worked in beautifully with the look I wanted.

So hope you can play along this week. You can link your creation and check out the other DT creations here

Ive been a bit quiet this week. Busy creating my submissions for my DT commitments before I head away next week on holiday.

DS had a party last night so we have male teenage bodies sprawled all over..lol

All the girls got picked up by their parents…like!

DH takes their keys off them and threatens the tractor on gate crashers! Being rural we dont have a problem.

It was a NCEA result party. Rhys passed his Level 2 but he was disappointed in his results. So for him it was a commiseration party lol

Team training today!

And heres whats in their boxes..a paper beaded and bead lanyard with some Paper snips, choccies and an owl bookmark. (all using DSP from the Idea book and Catalogue) I got the lanyards off Jacque Pedersens’ daughter Madeleine, who is making them for a fundraiser she is doing. Ive ordered some more as my sister wants them for her dog obedience clicker thing as she is always misplacing it. I will be giving these to all of my downline and anyone who signs up to SU and  in my team this year. The perfect time is coming up shortly as in Sale A bration (25th Jan to 31 March) ..you get an extra stamp set worth $95.95 for free!

We are doing shoe box swaps today. Ive done two but can only show you one as the other is for a DT challenge next week. I thought these pencils were a bit shorter when I dreamed this shopping list notebook up. (never mind they will be shorter soon lol) These notebooks are available from New World and they are $1.40 each so very cheap. I like them as on the inside there is a list of basics that almost everyone needs for their regular grocery shop. I dont know about you..but I go in for sugar and come out again with everything but sugar lol. So, this is a little reminder to get it!

Very little stamping on this one ..just the little bird from Itty bitty bits. Love this set! At $20.95 its a bargain!

A shoe box swap is where you put all the ingredients in a box and enough kits for anyone coming and then we take turns with doing that swap. If everyone provides a swap, then you have successfully come away with making those swaps at the end of the day. Its a more relaxed team training today. Ive packed the ten guitars 2, the Stan Walker CD  and a couple of CDs that are a blast from the past and are a bit of a laugh!

I had a pleasant surprise last night when I went to edit the photo as picasa (a free editing program from google) now has another editing program(picnik) to do more actions with ..its very cool and fun to play with.

We had a wonderful day yesterday btw..Ive never seen so many people down the main street of Whakatane. The lollies were a hit with the kids but we didnt sell out ..so off to the Ohope Markets we will go with the rest ..plus other stuff we have planned to sell. My owl bookmarks were a hit too.

Righto I’m off to have a wonderful day with my team. Have a wonderful Sunday!

Berry Festival Tomorrow!

Come to Whakatane tomorrow to see the inaugural Berry Town festival. Its in the main street of Whakatane and the main street will be closed to traffic.

I have a stall with two of my new downline and heres what Ive been doing for the stall.

46 owl bookmarks

50 odd pebble flowers

50 other lolly bags.

The other girls have done lots of cards/bookmarks and notebooks..all berry themed. Hope you come and see us in the mall area. Still got signage to do tonight and running around like a headless chook ..

My Team Training

(warning to my team to look away and not see this post)

is on Sunday and this is what Ive been doing today..if you are interested in joining my team and us (we are the del INK quents) and you are in the Whakatane area…or within cooee this weekend..then email me for more details. Id love to have you if you are thinking of signing up and joining in on this fun Im having with Stampin’ Up!

Whakatane is only an hour from Rotorua and Tauranga. It takes me 2 1/4 hours to get to Gisborne and Hamilton. Not far at all and I do classes and workshops in all these areas. I have family in Palmy and the Hawkes bay, Auckland, Waikato and Northland (and far north)..gonna be there soon woohoo! I have a new downline signing up in Otago so dont think that geography is a problem as Id love to come and visit your neck of NZ ..and it would be a business expense to boot lol.

I am an Otago rugby supporter through and through though as I lived down there for a number of years. lol

I didnt get to have a Christmas party for my team as I was too busy (and so were they) so I decided to have a New Years team training. Heres what I did for them today…and a hint as to my little gift for all of my downline.  Ive used my water colour crayons which come in one cool box that is begging to be altered I have to say!

Tomorrow I’m showing what Ive done for the inaugural berry festival here in Whakatane. Moana, Karen and I have been busy all week making stuff for it and I reckon we should get the best berry stand craft award!

StampAmemory January Challenge

This month we have a  fabulous sketch which you can find here. Its a pagemaps sketch by Becky Fleck. Im excitedly looking forward to meeting Becky Fleck in April at the Autumn Escape luxury weekend at Wairakei Resort..counting down!!

And heres what I came up with using Ted as the subject and journalling hes provided on my blog recently lol

Ive used the Sunny Garden DSP and Crumb Cake CS and used my new die which is the Number Bigz die. You can see that you can cut out very thick chipboard (mine was the stampin’ Up! box it came in) using my Big Shot. Its not acid free but I have buffered it away from the photos using acid free paper and cardstock between.

Hope you can play along this month!

You can check out what the other Stampamemory design team have done here

And the final winner is..

woohoo Angela!

Thanks to everyone who has visited over the week and left me comments. It was a whole lot of fun and I might do this every year!

There were lots who posted comments every day but two who did (and didnt win a prize) was Megan and Colleen so I will be sending you both a little parcel of goodies too!.

Come back tomorrow for my StampA memory LO Ive done and later this month I have a very big announcement to make about a stamp camp..

Righto…I’m off to give my DS a cuddle as he has just broken up with his girlfriend. He actually LET me give him a cuddle when he told me this morning..so he is obviously feeling sad..ooh poor boy!
