My Big Shot Draw will be taking place on Sunday..have you got your ticket?

Another Just Add Stamps

I quickly made up this card yesterday as my new stamps were calling my name..

I often get asked to do masculine cards for people and so I whipped this out in 10 minutes flat. I could have used some embellishments like brads/buttons or twine but no, I decided to use it for another card for JAI this week.

The motorcycle stamp set is a single stamp and is available from the 1st April in the New Autumn/ Winter Mini catalogue.

If you are still keen on getting free stamp sets through Saleabration then you need to get your orders in to me pronto. Just a reminder that every $60 of product sales gets you one ticket into my bigshot draw. If you are thinking of signing up then there is another big shot draw for that too.

So get in touch with me with your order or to have a chat with me about the fun and friendships you can have by signing up to be a demonstrator….  by next Thursday.

JAI 61- Just Add Stamps

Okay this weeks challenge at JAI is a real doozy of a challenge. Something I struggled with but I am quite pleased how my card turned out. It was very tempting to add some bling/ribbon or even a punch in there..but I resisted lol and heres what I came up with.

The technique Ive used here is called the BAM technique.

I LOVE that word and technique. You can see that Ive used the same stamp set that Dawn has but I used Night of Navy and Cherry Cobbler instead.

Some of my classes have done another card using this technique and they love it too.

Check out what the JAI Design team girls have been up to this week..and hope you play along with us this week…be challenged just to use stamps only.

JAI 60..Colour combo

This week at Just Add Ink its a colour combo I came up with ..and I had trouble with it lol.

Heres the colour combo

and heres what I came up with using a new stamp set out of the upcoming new Autumn/Winter mini catalogue. This set is called French Foliage. Its one I almost overlooked in pre ordering but Im so glad I did order it now!

Thanks to JAI DT member,  Mae Collins who has done our colour combo buttons.

Check out what the other DT girls have done here...and Nikki is playing along this week for the first time as our new Design Team Member. Yay!

Righto off to start cutting up for my Gisborne class tomorrow…

Shabby Chic Presto.

Ive just uploaded a new layout over to Stampamemory. Heres a sneek peak but go and check it out here

Happy Birthday to my dear daughter

Its our daughters 14th birthday today so I made her a card. I was determined to case one of Danielle Dawes cards but I just couldnt get my ribbon bow looking right so changed it slightly. I have a class today but we are off to dinner tonight to celebrate. Of course I have gone overboard with her pressies. (I just love birthdays)

I have absolutely loved this stamp set and I hope it makes it into the main catalogue when we get a new one in September.

If you like this Aviary stamp set ..get your order in quick as the summer mini finishes at the end of the month.

Sale a bration is also finishing at the end of the month along with my special special promotion for March which is to go the draw to win a big shot or if you sign up with me or my team you go into another draw to win a big shot. More details here

I am also donating my commission from February and March to the Christchurch Quake Appeal. Ive been getting cards from my customers to send to Christchurch for the past couple of weeks. Keep it up! I sent 20 last week too. It all helps.

The address to send the cards to is

Finally Im so sorry and shocked to hear of the large earthquake and Tsunami in Japan. I hope everyones relatives and friends are safe.

Whats with Mother Nature at the moment aye?

JAI 59 Sketch Challenge

Ive had a little laugh at myself while writing up this post ..that I nearly forgot to do it. I get so busy with putting up the challenge post  for Just Add Ink, that I forget to do my own post..laugh!

Heres the sketch this week ..which was supplied from Mae Collins (thanks Mae!)

And heres what I came up with. Ive used bleach for this card and you cant see but there is shimmer paint on there too. Lots of fun! If you havent tried bleach stamping yet ..give it a go! Bleach wont harm your rubber stamps (just thoroughly wash and dry afterwards) I wouldnt reccommend it for acrylic stamps.

So go and check out what the other Design Team have done for this awesome sketch and hope to see you playing along this week!

Stamps used is Bliss (Saleabration) and teeny tiny sentiments. Embossing folder is wallpaper and the die is the top note. Colours are Early Expresso, Sahara Sand and Elegant Eggplant.

StampAmemory MarchChallenge

This month we have a scraplift challenge at StampAmemory. So go and check it out along with what the other Design Team have come up with.

Heres mine, which is a scraplift of the LO on page 76 of the Aus/NZ Idea Book and Catalogue.

I loved the clean graphic look of the LO. I changed the colour to night of Navy, Crumb Cake and Wild Wasabi.

Ive still got some fake stitching to do on this but I cant find my mat pack…I have 3 but cant find any of them…sigh!

Easter Blossom

I made this for one of my classes this month….using some cool new techniques Ive just learnt.

I wont give the name of them away just yet as will be teaching this card next week…but see if you can guess?

The colours arent what i normally choose but I love this colour combo of Old Olive, Cajun Craze and Not Quite Navy.

Have a lovely Sunday. Tomorrow Ill be posting my StampAmemory LO for March so come back tomorrow.

Dont forget to ..send us your Just Add Ink Design Team application in by Monday midnight.

Send cards to Christchurch to Victim Support. You can find the address here

Home alone and am off to create!

Lucky me is home alone most of today with all my family out at the movies/at friends or at golf (hubby). I always have the first weekend of the month off completely from classes and workshops ..just to blob out and spend some time with my family but today everyone has plans. Im not complaining!!! lol

So Im off to create ..some scrapbooking today. I have a LO to finish off for StampAmemory and a mini album to complete for this months scrapbooking classes.

But first I wanted to show you a couple of things Ive been teaching this week at some of my classes.

I have only just got this beautiful paper (Lap of Luxury) and its going into my favourites. It reminds me of Laura Ashley fabrics and wallpapers…perfect for feminine cards and boxes.

This week I had a little  challenge for myself.. to use colours that I dont usually use. Im not a purple fan but Concord crush is just gorgeous and I will be using it more I think!  Tomorrow I have another card to show so come back tomorrow.
