JAI 119 Sketch Challenge

This week has been a crazy week with everything going on…so Im pleased I managed to get a card up this week for this weeks challenge which is a Sketch Challenge from Mae.

Ive gone monochromatic on this one with Naturals Ivory cardstock and used my embossing folders and score tool to make my back ground.  The off centre scallop trim punching is one of the things Ive been teaching this month along with the use of the lace ribbon border punch. Lots of fun.

Righto had better get back to bed (yep up in the early hours doing this post) Too many things on the go. Next week Im off to Canberra for a week for our annual South Pacific Convention..cant wait!

JAI 117 Just Add Yellow

..well SU yellow

I have  struggled with yellow so this week its my challenge at Just Add Ink and yes..we have yellow!

I just didnt do one card though as one thing led to another and voila!, I had 3 cards (actually 4 but that went in the bin! lol)

Here was the first card I made using the Lace ribbon border punch.

From here I went to this..(Using up my scraps)

and then finally to this with the leftovers and wanting to edge my cards differently.

My inspiration is from here..absolutely awesome!

All reminded me of the crochet or lace table cloths we used to have (okay I still have some lol)

..sooo hope you play along with us this week!

JAI Scrap #5 Just add Vintage/Heritage.

Another month gone and its another challenge time over at Just Add Ink  for our scrapbooking DT. This month is one of my favourite styles ..vintage. Heres what I came up with using a photo of my Grandparents.

Ive used Attic Boutique for this LO which lends itself to vintage I thought. Ive colourblocked/patchworked my main frame and added some detail with the  adorned framelit dies, embossed panel and the butterflies. It needed something in the top corner so yep my new favourite thing to do  ..a banner was it.  A bit of stamping, library clips and vintage tag with itty bitty button and I was done.

Hope you play along with us this month at Just Add Ink!

Yesterday was National Scrapbooking Day but didnt get to scrapbook myself as I was teaching a class but thats on the agenda today.

This week was a sad week for my family as we had to put to sleep our much loved 10 year old Labrador (Bella) who had a stroke on Thursday morning. Memories of one awesome dog will live on in our hearts forever (and in my Scrapbooks)
