JAI 127 Black, white and one other colour challenge

Sorry this is up late..Im in bed by 9pm these days (Its calving time for us on teh farm) and have just come in from feeding 100 calves!

This week at JAI we have a colour challenge courtesy of Mae

A couple of weeks ago I had a girls weekend with my besties. We get together every year or 18 months. We would love it to be more but we all live in different parts of NZ/Australia. I made up these care packages for them both which went down a treat! So obviously my extra colour was cherry cobbler.  Hope you all play along with us this week. Check out what the other girls on the Design Team have done here

I keep on fogetting to take my camera over to the calf sheds but snapped this one on my phone. This is my first mob of heifer calves (32) stuffing themselves on the mobile feeder. They were naughty and got out of the pens so they are now out early onto grass. They are loving the sun though as weve had some yukky weather recently.

Just Add Winter

This week we have a chilly challenge from Patrice..Just Add Winter. Heres what I came up with for the challenge. I got my poor neglected brayer out for this one (and my Lovely as a Tree stamp set) and used the rock salt technique for the falling snow. What is the rock salt technique? Its where you sprinkle rock salt over Whisper White cardstock and run it through your Big Shot (between two plates and the platform) ..dust off the rocksalt and you are ready to brayer or sponge. Easy aye?

You cant quite see but Ive also sponged to create the snow drifts amongst the trees.

Check out what the other girls on the Design Team have come up with here

Meanwhile ..Im off to feed my calves..yep calving has started again for the year and the calves are coming in thick and fast to my sheds for me to play Mummy to!  Have a lovely and warm wintery day if you are in this part of the world!

JAI Scrap #7

This month at Just Add Ink Scrapbooking challenges we have a wonderful challenge from Tina which is to just add hidden journalling or memorabilia.

Ive gone with the hidden journalling which I often do on my LOs. I even have some journalling on the front and some hidden! I went with a quick number using my Sister as the subject (she hates having her photo taken) so I was pleased to make this LO of her.

Ive used Crumb Cake smooth CS here along with some new DSP that is coming in the next SU Catalogue in September. ..we all got a free pack of it plus fabric at convention ..gotta love free!  The title is just printed on my computer and then diecut with the framelits…oh and the hidden journalling is the tag. I havent shown you that photo coz its private. I often journal on the back of my LOs too ..which when slipped into the page protector is also hidden so dont think you have to add something to the front of your LO. I cant wait to see what you all come up with on this challenge. You can see what the other girls have done here.
