Hi ..been awol sorry ..couldn’t get into my blog for a couple of weeks ..was just put into the too hard basket until I had time to figure it out!
So Ive missed out on a couple of JAI challenges ..oops ..will update these shortly but first…
This months Just Add Ink Scrapbooking Challenge is a sketch done by me! Yeah! Managed to have a play in MDS and came up with this.
and heres the LO I came up with using our beautiful Daughters’ photo of her Year 12 Ball.
Super pleased how this the ribbon matched her ball dress so perfectly!
So, I hope you can play along with us with our scrapbooking challenge this month. Ive kept it simple so lots of you can have a go!
Check out what the other girls have done here
well I have a sizable stash of washi already (some SU and some not) so this challenge (from Kim) was right up my alley.
Heres what I came up with using the new season of style washi and the epic day washi.
I used the season of style papers for this LO which is a Christmas themed paper but as you can see fits in well with any theme.
some close ups here ..the gorgeous new ribbon ooh la la and Ive used my new rotary arm and decorative edge to make the 2013 banner (stamps are morning post numbers)
The ball letters were diecut with some retired alphas and embossed with the pretty prints Embossing Folder which is quickly becoming my favourite.
Photos are of our gorgeous girl at her year 12 ball.
So hope you can come and play with us this month at Just Add Ink.
Go and check out what the other design team girls have done here
Today SU announced the nitty gritty details of this years Incentive trip which is being held on a Carribbean Cruise in May next year.
I normally only go for the incentive trips every two years but this trip would be a dream come true for me. For one I could finally take my Hubby along (as my previous trips were wrong time of year for dairy farmers in NZ) and two I can take our daughter (and son if he wants to come) ..last year she helped me with my business to get the Incentive trip to Utah and then we found out she couldnt go as my guest because she was only 16.
I need your help to get there! So how can anyone help? You can order so i can get the sales needed or you can sign up for $189 and become a member of my team and promote to the next level (easy to do) ..please message me or contact me on email@example.com if you are interested in helping me achieve this goal. Thank you so much to my customers and team for supporting me so far.
Oops had a sleep in this morning (first one for a couple of weeks) and just got up to find my post hadnt published.. lol
This post on Just Add Ink was my last as Coordinator as Mae and I have both decided to step down and let some of the other girls run JAI. Ive enjoyed running JAI over the past 3 years but my life is just crazy busy at the moment so I needed to let go of something. I still will be on the team ..just as a design team member instead. All four girls will do a wonderful job of running it.
So this weeks challenge is from Nikki and it is to Just Add Colouring.
I just used my blender pen to colour this image in (Giggle Greetings) ..which I think is hilarious. This stamp set appeals so much to me as its my sort of humour!
I actually did 2 cards for this challenge as the second one was a better colouring image but I cam home to one of my cats sleeping on it and it got a bit munted/screwed up/bent out of shape! A seal of approval I thought! lol
The paper is Venetian Romance.
Hope you come and play with us this week at Just Add Ink and check out what the other Design Team Members have done here

So onto my project to show you. As part of the perks of this job I got the tablescape kit as part of a bundle for free. This kits retails for $19.95 (133463)
I loved the projects shown in the holiday catalogue using this kit but my mind was already planning on using it as a mini album as soon as I saw it.
Heres what I came up with. You can get three mini albums out of this one kit. I am planning on two more with my recent trip to Utah with the 2013 Incentive Trip. Sorry about the Photo bombing but here are the insides. Theres some pockets and flaps on this album ..which is how I love to make mini albums. I come to do instructions and I go..’how did I do that again’? lol
As you can see I used a few other items for embellishments which included basic black and crushed curry chevron ribbon, crisp cantaloupe stretched ruffled trim, very vintage buttons, essential hardware clip, epic day this and that stickers, sweater weather DSP and some sahara sand and calypso coral cardstock. I love how this turned out and cant wait to start the next one. The album measures 6″x8 1/4″. I am planning on putting them all in an A4 box and decorating the outside too. I managed to get 22 little photos into this album which was just perfect! I got my new World Map stamp set while I was making this so of course that had to be incorporated into it somewhere lol.
I LOVE the chalkboard labels and the chalk board marker in this kit!
Now local girls ..I will be teaching this mini album if you just want to do one or I will have the whole kit for you to buy at the class. For demos I will be providing instructions ..just waiting on my tripod which is still coming home from the US.
I havent used two of the items in this kit yet but plan on using it on my box. Ill show all three and the box soon!
Righto off enough photos already and off to blog hop some more..this time to the lovely and talented Ann Wills.
Hope you enjoy our blog hop!

But wait there is more! Septembers Best of 25 years set is a Christmas set! YUM!
Im putting in an order on Saturday so let me know if you would like to order anything or you can order online in my store (just click on the link on the right hand column)
Ill be back at Lunch time with another creative post.
Okay this is one card that is simple to do but oh so effective. Ive done this card in two colourways (but cant find the other one at the mo..sigh..such is my life at the moment ! lol) The masking tape technique is easy to do using a low tack painters masking tape and running across your ink pad.
Ive used the wetlands set for this card which is just gorgeous. I will be using this set lots I think! The Hessian ribbon is a new product sneak peak which is coming up in our Occasions Holiday Mini Catalogue which actually goes live on the 29th of August. If you havent got a copy yet and live in NZ then let me know if you would like one?
The background is using the dictionary stamp set and a few different ink pads and rolling the stamp. This only works if you have a clear mount.
Anyone local just an advance warning about the Whakatane Beacon and Leisure show which will be on the 6th/ 7th and 8th of September. I will be selling off all of my retired stamps on the Sunday (8th) I have lots to sell and priced to sell so come down and get a bargain.
Yay..a weekend..oh except that it means Im milking the cows…darn it! This working and working and working is NOT on! Luckily I have made time to be creative these past few weeks! Heres another card Ive been teaching in my August card classes.
Its a fancy fold card and using the Deco Labels Collection to shape the card. P.s the sentiment was straight originally but looks like it hasnt had enough coffee now and is on a lean lol
The Perfect Blend Stamp set was one of the first on my list..as a lover of coffee this is perfect for me and lots of my friends. The sentiment is from Lots of Thanks.
Just a quick note to say that The World Map stamp set is now available to order. (It was on hold as they had to make a new stamp image as there was some concerns in the US on some of the words on the stamp) Rather than offend anyone, SU took the extraordinary step of removing the stamps and making a new one. Love this companies morals and sensitivity. You can order online in my online shop (see my sidebar) or simply email me
Righto ..now that I have done 5 hours of farm work I shall go and have a couple of hours of creating!
Hope you get to create something today too!
Yep I had to have a try at these starburst technique cards too and here is one I came up with for my August classes.
I used Eastern Elegance DSP and then embossed them with the Beautifully Baroque EF. My new favourite Framelits are the Deco Labels Collection framelits. The stamped on e was a cut down one but I also used the Chalk Talk framelits in my classes (some of them are large classes) which looked great too. The stamp set is the fun “Yippee Skippee”.
My ladies are having a wee giggle at the ‘knicker elastic’ (Ruffle stretch Trim) but of course its lovely in all the new in colors!
Ive just been away on a mini team retreat in Gisborne. There was 10 of my team (including me) there and we had a wonderful time at the Emerald Hotel crafting, gasbagging and eating and drinking..
My next team retreat is on the East Coast at Te Kaha in February. Wanna come? Email me ..just got to join my team first! lol
Heres a couple of photos ..we have a shoe box swap every two months for my team trainings (the other month we just BYO stuff to do) ..this month we all had one to do whereas usually we take it in turns and only do 5 or 6 but we still managed to get them all done on the Sunday! Good aye?
Also Id like to welcome LeeAnn to my team. She is from Northland so if you are near Whangarei then I can pass on her details.
Have a lovely crafty day
well Im a bit tardy in getting this post up but after doing the JAI post I got tired and went to bed..thinking Id post my card this morning but had problems to sort and then it was off to work I went!
Never mind here is my card I did for this challenge courtesy of Kim. All of these products Ive used are from our up and coming Holiday Catalogue. My snowflakes were the paper (called Winter Frost Specialty DSP and the new frosted embellishments. I also love the new pretty print textured EF ..that was one of the first things on my list!
and here is another view ..the thinlets are just gorgeeous and Im so excited to get them!
I tried the chevron ribbon but it was a bit too wide so cut it down the middle and added a strip of Smoky slate CS for a different look. As its my first Christmas card for the year, Im pretty pleased..one down lots to go lol
Please join in our Just Add Ink Challenge this week if you are making snowflake cards or LOs ..being Winter we could see some Layouts of some skiing perhaps?
Check out the other Design Team Members gorgeous cards here
Have a great weekend. Im off to take my Gisborne class and a little team retreat over in Gisborne..there will be just 10 of us heading over there and Im so looking forward to some R and R with my friends (my team).
