JAI 166 Colour Challenge

This fortnight sees a colour challenge from me ..for Just Add Ink and I had a hard time making my card with it lol ..I guess its because I have NO time to sit and create at the moment. Anyway, heres the colour combo

and heres the card I came up with using these colours. The stamping over the 19 is using the Epic Day rotary stamp. The paper is from the Print Poetry paper stack (mini). The window framelit is all up on dimensionals. Do go and check out what the rest of the design team have come up with. We hope to see lots of SU demos next week at the SU South Pacific Convention..cant wait to go! Have swaps, classes, trainings and last minute things to do before then ..not to mention work my day job and sleep!

No rest for the wicked thats for sure!

 

JAI 164 Sketch Challenge

Yep been a bit quiet around here .. my mojo went awol for a bit but hopefully its back now thanks to our Just Add Ink sketch Challenge this week courtesy of Mae. Heres the sketch

and this is what I came up with using Pretty in Pink, Real Red and Crumb Cake.

 

The stamp set is Secret Garden which has a matching framelit!

JAI 160 Inspirational Photo Challenge

This week we have an inspirational photo challenge that Trish found for us.

Lots of ways you could use this..colour, coffee, knitting, grass and nature..to name a few!

Heres what I came up with.

Bad lighting on this one as it was raining (yay for the rain as we need it). I embossed the very vanilla and crumb cake piece and then decided to use my new stamp set (Countryside) and watercoloured the wheelbarrow.

JAI 158 Sketch Challenge

This week at Just add Ink we have a sketch challenge courtesy of Mae.

and this is what I came up with using the crepe paper out of our seasonal mini catalogue and Tea Time DSP.

 

 

I need to make lots of thank you cards at the moment for all the wonderful helpers I had at my Creative Escape Retreat in Ohope. So Id better get going on them today while I have the day off work! Yay for  a day of crafting!

 

JAI 156 Colour Challenge

Hi ..this week at Just Add Ink, we have a colour challenge courtesy of Christine and what a challenge it was for me this week! Everything I did ended up in the bin..just one of those weeks ya know!! If anyone’s seen my mojo please send it back home! Here’s the colour combo

Anyway,  this is what I came up with finally..not that happy about it but haven’t got time to redo. I think the doily would have been better opened out and under the framelits but Id already stuck it down with glue! Sigh..never mind!

Vintage style Birthday card

Hiya..been a bit busy on Non Stampin’ Up! stuff (mainly a new job) but that doesn’t mean that I haven’t been creating! Here’s one of the cards Ive been teaching this month using some gorgeous goodies out of the new Mini Catalogue. If you dont yet have a copy and you are in New Zealand..then email me and Ill send you one!  This card was in a series and we used leftover bits to make the other cards. Details: Teatime DSP, Primrose Petals A4 cardstock and 12 x 12 Coredination cardstock, Naturals white cardstock, Paper doily, Simply scored borders scoring plate, Oval framelits, Cloudy bay embossing folder, Large rhinestones, Sodapop, Artisan embellishment flower, Wishes Your way stamp set, Itty bitties stamp set, Primrose petals and Gumball green markers, Dimensionals and glue dots.

JAI 152 – Just Add Hearts

Well this close to Valentines ..and its a chance to bust out those heart stamps and give us a card, box or Layout with some hearts on it!

I’m not much into Valentines myself but instead, I used this for a friend who has had a major health scare this past fortnight. Its frightening how quickly one minute you are fine and the next minute you are facing major surgery and major recovery!

So this card is for Kirsty..may you recover well!

For this card I used the Real red Coredination CS, More Amore DSP (heart), My Little Valentine paper (I used the envelope), Artisan embellishment kit (doily heart and lace) and The Honeycomb Embossing Folder. Stamp sets: A little Greeting, Hearts a flutter (Occasions Mini) and Patterned Occasions (SAB set)

Just Add a Shaped Card

Wow isnt the year flying by already! This weeks Just Add Inks challenge is courtesy of Tina and it is to Just Add a Shaped card.

Heres what I came up with using the purse die (I just folded it differently and cut off flaps) I’m a sucker for red handbagss myself so of course it had to be red! The paper is my new love..More Amore DSP which is out of our new Occasions mini starting today.

Inside is just plain VV cardstock (sorry no photo oops).

Creative Escape Update!

Things are ticking along nicely with planning for this event which is on March 16th/17th in Ohope Beach, Whakatane, New Zealand!

JAI 150 Sketch Challenge

Yay,  I love sketches and here is our lovely Mae’s sketch for this weeks Just Add Inks challenge

 

 

 

 

 

I kept pretty much to the sketch

 

Ive used the new SAB Sycamore DSP and pool party ribbon bundle for my card and I used the Petite Curly punch and stamps.

The paper clip, large rhinestone and scoring plate  is a little sneak peek of some upcoming products in our new Seasonal mini which starts on the 1st of February.
