masculine card and swap

I have a team training on this weekend and the theme is masculine cards ..this card is what Ive been teaching this month and so Ive done a similar card for my team swaps …ive been loving working with bold brights lately and loved making these. Basically it is a pocket card but Ive changed it to add on a gift card pocket and place for a photo…would suit Dad or Fathers day.

I cant wait to go to training on Sunday/tomorrow as it is soo much fun to be there ..sharing ideas ..lots of laughter and being inspired by others. If you are thinking of joining Stampin Up! Debbies Springy card

My sideline team member Debbie Lamb made this awesome origami type folded card which Ive renamed a spring fold origami card.

She was generous to give me her instructions and template and this is what I did with it. Im also teaching using water colour crayons this month (and particularity soft subtles) so it was a good chance to get those crayons out. I LOVE  to watercolour with crayons..it is so much easier to do and it is a subtle look which is lovely.

I havent photographed this well as shady days here and it does sit flat with no gaps…it is just how I photographed it… too impatient to show you all lol!

Using left over scraps

I love to use up left over scraps for simple cards (which I sell)  These ones were using the left over cardstock on my last project below. The first two are direct colouring from my markers onto the stamp. The summer sun one is leftover cardstock from a card I did yesterday. A nice cheery card for someone celebrating their divorce perhaps?  Have you heard of that? Apparently is very cool to host a ‘Yay I’m getting divorced party!’

Sometimes a simple card is perfect for the job dont you think? Sometimes I can get carried away with my layering so its nice just do some simple cards. Back soon with some projects to show. ..but they aint simple..

I brayered and sponged this card using Apricot appeal, Pumpkin Pie and Pacific point. Some of my classes will be doing this card this month.

Stamps sets are Inspired by nature 115826, Natures Nest (Summer Mini) 117707 and Whimsical words out of the SAB catty..

Have a rewarding and crafty business

and this is the card I came up with this morning. Ive used Lifes a Breeze and A little birthday cheer. The so saffron ribbon is out of the Dress Up Ribbon Originals. I thought this was a perfect stamp set seeing as Ive been fishing and beach hopping/swimming on my holiday…wish I could stay on holiday but had to be back to milk the cows. (so the worker can have some time off too).

Righto off to get my glad rags on as its my 22nd wedding anniversary today and Hubby and I are off out to dinner.

Black Magic Birthday Card

this is for my Mums birthday next week and uses the same technique from my last post. A little bit of a sneak peak at a stamp coming up in Sale-A-Bration which starts on the 25th January!

Colours are Mellow Moss, Ruby Red and black and the colours Ive used to water colour are red, sage, pink and blue. Whisper White ink is the ink here..just love it!

I’m busy with some scrapbooking LOs and class planning at the moment  and am off on Tuesday morning off to Auckland and then up to the beach for a week ..so I will be away for 12 days. I will have my laptop and check my email daily so am available if you need me.

A little notepad

I made this today. Its actually leftover panel from some swaps Ive just completed today for my teams Sale A Bration swap..and rather than it go to waste I whipped up this little notepad for my handbag.

The technique used here is called Black Magic which is a really lovely technique using whisper white ink and water colour pencils. Its traditionally done on Black cardstock but can be done on other darker cardstock as I have done. My classes will be getting this little project/technique first off at the end of the month.

so the party blower instructions will have to wait! Catch up with me in a couple of days also for my Christmas Cracker instructions too.

Meanwhile Ive been making up these goodie ketes up for my team members ..wont show you whats inside as it will spoil their surprise!

Santas arriving early

for some of my customers who have ordered from me in the last week. I was blog surfing this morning when I came across this post and I immediately was inspired to try it myself! I added a little santa sack of goodies to the card too.
