20 11 2009

but this time in Parisian Breeze…I have totally love this Specialty Designer Paper and so have a lot of my customers! BUT dont forget that you cant buy it from the end of this month. My favourite stamp from the spring mini is the Sense of Time stamp set..and I know of lots of scrapbookers who’d agree with me!

This one was more of a backpack one ..

Today when you read this..

19 11 2009

I will be winging my way to Queenstown for a scrapbooking retreat!

I have been looking forward to this camp for weeks and I cant wait to just chill out ..catch up with friends and sleep in! (remember I am a dairy farmer lol)

Im going to be staying here and the views of Lake Whakatipu are just fabulous!!

I went to this camp a few years ago and it is brilliant.

Now I am NOT taking my laptop but will be pre posting some posts while Im away. ( I dont know how thats going to go being away from the computer for 4 days but we will see lol)

As promised ..heres a mini album I did the other day. Its a Makeesha Byl mini album but I have changed it slightly to make it into a laptop/handbag one

My teenage son hates his photo taken

18 11 2009

but I think hes cute/handsome.. dont you? I did this LO (layout)  for Hamilton regionals..showing that you can emboss and use your stamps for your background. Not only that but I wanted to show that I CAN do clean and simple LOs when I want to lol…normally I like to cluster and have lots of embellishments. But I dont reckon that works well with masculine LOs. So tips from me is that I concentrate on the photo. I have multiple photos and I go for primary colours or earth tones. eg Bold Brights and Earth Elements.

BTW..it is straight in real life but it is just how Ive taken the photo and edited it.

Jingle Triangle boxes

17 11 2009

The NZSU challenge this week was a cute triangle box which I love to do as they are so quick and easy to do. I popped 16 out in an hour and a half (and had to pick up my daughter from school in that time too)

Mind you ..I have dazzling diamonds everywhere!!!

So why 16?

I have The Rotorua Christmas show on next weekend and Patrice and I are selling gift boxes, mini albums, cards and gift sets. Come and see us at the Rotorua convention centre on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

So I have a busy 10 days making things for that! Today I made 2 mini albums to sell as well..will show you those in the next few days.

Heres one of my stamp a stack cards I did recently. I love that Ski Slope DSP and wish we could play with it longer. If you are planning on getting some..you will need to order by the end of this month as it wont be available after that. You cant quite see all the dazzling diamonds all over the bauble but its there!

Santa Spring card

15 11 2009

IMG_6801This is the card Ive been teaching today in Tauranga and recently in Hamilton for our Creative Inkers Team Extravaganza. Hes a punch art santa spring card. Just a bit of fun really! Lots of the ladies thought they would put names on them and put them as their name place settings on the Christmas table.

Weve had a blast today and am home to collapse in a heap and blob out in front of the TV tonight.

(ooh and eat chocolate)

My Kawerau Class

14 11 2009

IMG_6859I had one of my Kawerau card classes today and as its the last for the year (for this class) we had a gift giving and shared lunch.

The hostess/organiser Kaaren does paper tole cards and they are soooooo cool!!

This is a very apt card that she gave me today as a thank you. Thank you Kaaren for being an awesome hostess and organiser of my fortnightly classes in Kawerau.

I also got my very first christmas card today from Rae and I will show you that card in another post.

Tomorrow is the Tauranga Extravaganza ..and Ill be there teaching a spring card..check out tomorrows post to see it!

Today is a remembering sort of day ..my Dads birthday. I always light a candle for my Dad and remember him (and still miss him terribly!)

Simple easel Christmas card

13 11 2009

These cards are just the easiest to do!! Ive used my leftover Natural cardstock that I used for my top note box to make this card. Ive teamed it up with the 1 1/4 striped grosgrain ribbon..this ribbon is absolutely gorgeous!! But you need to hurry as you can only order this for the next couple of weeks as its in the retiring Spring Mini catalogue.

The stamp set Ive used is Christmas Classics ..which is the stamp set I’m using for my stamp a stack tonight!

The other sentiment is from the Level 1 hostess set (Best Yet). I showed the card to my daughter and she had inky fingers and got some ink on it (takes after her mother with the inky fingers lol) Never mind!

Gift giving is starting already

12 11 2009

for me as its one of my card classes last class for the year on Saturday. I dont tend to do many classes into December as everyone is flat out at that time. So we will be exchanging gifts and this is what I came up with for my recipient (whoever they might be) I wont tell you whats inside as that will spoil the surprise!! Also on this weekend I have my Christmas stamp a stack on Friday night and on Sunday I have the Creative Inkers Tauranga Extravaganza!! Busy busy! So I am currently cutting furiously all the bits and pieces needed for all these classes…Just as well that I enjoy cutting up paper and cardstock aye? The box template i got from Bev Poultney and is a little gem! Bev is in my wider team and doesnt have a blog.  Well had better get back to cutting!!

xmas boxes

Top Note box

11 11 2009

Ive been a busy little bee today finishing off this little box, doing another mini album and another little box which I will show tomorrow.

This is for my Kawerau class and is very much vintage inspired from my LO that I showed you yesterday.

I have used Naturals Ivory CS for this project. Ive never used it before but think it might be a new firm favourite with me like Kraft CS. It comes in a pack of 40 and retails for $16.25 so it works out to be just 41c each A4 sheet..what a bargain huh?

This project used 1 1/2 sheets so is a very cost effective project. The  Stamps Ive used is petal pizazz…which is one of my most used stamp sets. IMG_6850

IMG_6851Excuse the photo ..was a bit sunny this morning!

Inside the box is 4 little gift cards and tied up with that gorgeous ribbon (1 1/4 striped Grosgrain ribbon) from the Spring Mini catalogue. If you are wanting to purchase this ribbon you had better get in quick as it wont be available after the 30th November. Email me if you want to order anything. I ship orders all over NZ.
