Tip Top Taupe and Mint Macaroon

Ive halted my packing of my scraproom today as I have had to make a sympathy card for a family friend.

It was a chance to play with two of the new In Colors as well as use a stamp set I bought it the last Occasions catalogue but hadn’t managed to ink it up yet!

So, I’m so glad that this photopolymer stamp set is going through to the new catalogue then aye? Its only because its been hiding down the back of my large bookcase….

Here’s my simple card.

IMG_8062-001 IMG_8064-001 IMG_8065-001Ive also used Petite Pairs stamp set for the inside and used a die from the mini treatbag thinlets too ..Both of these stamp sets are very versatile!

The matting is our new envelope paper in the new In Colors too ..yummo!

Righto..off I head to my scrapbooking room to continue to pack.

Have a great week!

Ooh la la new goodies to play with!

So my Pre order came this morning ..I didn’t think to take a photo of the contents ..I just dived in and started creating!

I decided I’m allowed a day off packing and cleaning right?

So while oohing and aahing over a new PL kit, I got out the yummy 6×6 pad called Cherry on Top DSP stack and my mini treat die and got to work on these for my day job workmates! (I finish work in 8 days)

IMG_8058-001I also used the new in colour Blossom accents. This Mini treat die is supposed to be half the width, but I cut it down to 4 cm width so I could get two out of the one die cut.

Ive filled it with those Lifesaver type lollies (but these were from the local Lions club as a fundraiser).. so even better!

These and all of the new gorgeous products can be ordered from me (or your local demonstrator), from the 2nd of June 2015!

Righto..Off I go to make something with the scraps!

Creative Inkers Retiring Products Blog Hop

Two posts in one day!

As part of the Creative Inkers Team, we are doing a blog hop on our fave retiring products in a showcase!

I decided to showcase these Envelope Gift Card enclosures. These are now 40% off on the retired list and are $7.17NZD for a pack of 10. 136662G  So I thought Id make this into a cute wee mini album for our Daughter. She misses her cat while away at university!IMG_2005-003 IMG_2006-003 IMG_2007-003So how I did this was ..

1. Score 1/2 cm on all four sides. (On the inside of the previously scored lines). I actually just used my paper trimmer to do this but you could use your scoreboard.

2. Cut out the corners

3. Cut a strip of paper (I used Lullaby 133695) 8 cm wide. Score at every 8cms

4. Ink edges with black pen or ink pad.

5. Adhere the last scored panel (which wont be 8x8cm) to the bottom of the gift card enclosure.

6. My mats were 7cm square Lullaby DSP and the cover I used 7cm square Whisper White and 6.5cm square Lullaby DSP. I also cut mats for the underside of the enclosure card (not seen here) and that was 8.8cm square WW and 8.5cm square Lullaby DSP.

7. My photos were 6.5 cm squares except the front cover which was 6cm square.

8. The stamp set I used was And Many More (134276). Leftover cardstock and paper was used for stamping and punching. The label bracket punch was for the front enclosure.

Check out what I also did with these Gift Card Enclosures at Christmas time ..IMG_7178-001

So there you go, hope you enjoyed my wee mini album and please check out my other team mates on this blog hop below.

May MKPLxSU Design Team page

Sorry been a bit AWOL from here as busy busy packing up a farm and house to move in a couple of weeks! Eeek so much to do! Nine years of hoarding craft supplies has resulted in 9 large boxes that have gone to one of my team members to sell on my behalf..isnt she awesome! Thanks Karen!

Anyway, onto this months page for Memory Keeping with SU and Project life (which is facebook group and everyone is welcome to join) ..is using the Happiness Is PL kit. Ive used this kit often in my PL pages and as a result had little left to play with! This kit retires at the end of this month. One of my fave kits.

My page is the title page for our Sons 21st album. He is 21 in a couple of weeks time. My how time flies by!

IMG_8030-001

So my little tips this month is to use the surrounds of the stickers from the coordinating Embellishment pack. I just cut them out and add another PL/background card underneath. Nothing ever goes to waste and a way to get more bang for your buck!(see the arrow, the hearts and the happiness). I also cut up other cards as embellishments too (see the xoxoxo, the about today, the happiness and the note)IMG_8033-001

The beauty of this kit is the cork alpha letters and the pull out pocket cards. Ive just used a banner of washi tape stapled onto the card as a pull out tab. PL can be as interactive as you want. I like hidden journalling! These little pull out pocket cards suit me to a T because I can get all soppy date on the journalling (which is hidden),  and the have bare basics on the outside! IMG_8034-001Righto ..off we hop to all the other DT members blog  ..heres the list! Welcome to our new team members Elizabeth and Kate!

April MKPLxSU Page

This month the MKPLSU Design Team are using the Playground kit for their pages. Typically this is a school orientated kit but I didnt want to use those type of photos with this kit as Im still trying to scrap my 2013 holiday to the US!

Heres what I came up with.

IMG_8003

The right hand side of this Pocket Page is a flip out page of which Ive just cut another pocket page in half vertically and attached with washi tape to the other. (tip..fill in the pockets before attaching the page). You cut on the seam of the pockets and if you are careful you can cut so that the seam is still intact..but if not, the washi tape can hold it in.

New SAB Vellum Stack

Wow arent we lucky that SU brought this out late during Sale a bration this year! Im really sad it will no longer be available after the end of this month!

Ive had a wonderful play with some of the pages and here are the results! IMG_7986-002

You can use markers (alcohol and waterbased) or blender pens and ink pads/reinkers to colour the vellum! If you aren’t using alcohol markers (like our SU blendibilities or copics etc) then you will put the coloured side down (not up)..just make sure it is dry before doing so! IMG_7988-001IMG_7992-001

I also used the Hello thinlets and The Crazy About You stamp set for all three cards. This is a bundle in our current occasions catalogue. (pg 30)

Of course all are finished off inside with leftover Vellum.

I cant quite decide which one I like the best! Which is your favourite?

MKPLSU March

Okay Ive been awol for a couple of weeks..primarily because our Daughter left home to go to University, I had a craft retreat to organise and teach at and Ive been working fulltime (and on farm too)..am I forgiven? So today its our Monthly SU  Project Life Design Team blog hop which is about travel.. I’m sure you will be sick of my incentive trip posts but I’m not lol ..so here is a double page I did using the Lets Get Away PL collection. Ive done this double LO PL page for this using the Lets Get Away PL kit and accessories, the matching stamps and the Make Note rotary stamp. The use of the alphanumeric mold and polymer paper clay was my fave thing to do with this and I distressed them with blendies and creases to go in with the mountains of Utah ..some of which we saw were/are on the outer rim of the Grand Canyon. Ive also used new (old)electric Typewriter..I haven’t got the hang of it yet but love that its portable to any classes or to my retreat last weekend that I did!  … IMG_7957-001IMG_7958-001      IMG_7961-001IMG_7967-001IMG_7966-001 so check out the other DT members for their awesome pages ..you wont be disappointed!
