Happy Haunting DSP Series- Pacman card

The one paper in the Happy Haunting Designer Series Pack that I struggled to use in a non Halloween theme was this one.

It has carved pumpkins on one side and spider and spider webs on the other!

Not to be outdone, I turned the pumpkin one on its side and thought Id do a Pacman card.

Here it is!

Really CAS card this one!

I used the 3/4″ circle punch, 1/16″ circle punch (or you could use the owl punch), Little numbers thinlits and Crazy About You stamp set (137137)

Come back tomorrow for my last project showcasing The Happy Haunting DSP.

Happy Haunting DSP Series-Masculine card

Of course this paper is suited to Masculine themed cards ..that’s why I bought it!

Ive just ordered another pack of this paper as Ive pretty much used up the whole pack on this weeks projects!

Here’s what I came up with for a masculine card.

Stamp sets Ive used on this card is The Open Sea (123032) and a hostess set Happy Birthday Everyone (139958)

Yep, there’s that Seasonal Snapshot washi tape again! Also the new Very Vanilla Subtle Stripes Satin ribbon (139616) and the gorgeous Basic Black Stitched Satin ribbon (138430)

Not sure if I will give this card to Hubby for his birthday or tomorrows card?

Have a great day!

Happy Haunting DSP Series- Racing Car

Thanks for checking back with me today with my Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper. This is a Halloween themed set of papers but you can use all of the papers for other themes.

Zoom..and we’re off to the race track with this card today.

After looking online, I couldn’t find any race cars so my punch art Formula One Racing car was born!

I used 4 punches for this car. The Tree punch (135859), for the car chassis, word window punch for the spoiler and the tyres, and the 3/4″ and 1″ circle punches for the number. I used the Little Numbers Thinlits (138278) for the ‘5’.

Whats the background made of?

Washi tape.. which is part of The Seasonal Snapshot 2015 PL Accessory Pack (139652). I just off centred every other row! ..Actually I did the background and thought..hmm that looks like a race car flag and an idea was born! Hehehe

IMG_2896 IMG_2897Inside I used the Washi Label punch (138296) to make a winners line. You can see what the washi tape normally looks like here just with one strip.

Simple and cute, I thought and perfect for a 5 year old boy (or car mad girl!)

See you tomorrow!

Happy Haunting DSP Series- Dress Cards

A few years ago, I came upon this dress pattern on pinterest and made this card.

Ever since, Ive had at least 20 hits a day on my blog for the pattern.

I decided to do another couple of cards using this template and the Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper.

Here’s the first one I did..

IMG_2882 IMG_2883

I decided not to put a sentiment on the front, so I could decide down the track what to use it for.

Then I stepped it up slightly and did this one..I could see my Mum wearing this when she was a young woman.

The ‘Just Because’ is from the Tin of Cards Stamp set.

I decorated the inside on both cards.

So, as you can see, Happy Hauntings DSP is not all about Halloween!

Happy Stamping!

Happy Haunting DSP Series- Birthday Card

Our farm worker has a birthday this week so I set out to make her a birthday card and gift box using the Happy Hauntings Designer Series Paper.

Here’s the card.

IMG_2863 IMG_2864She has a nine year old daughter so I made this a shaker card with the Brights sequins (138389) added in for a ‘pop’ of colour!

I used the Hello You Thinlits (137363) and Tin of Cards stamp set (138946), for the greeting.

Here is the gift box ..an extended Pillow Box using the Square Pillow Box Thinlit Die (139657)

Have a great day!

Happy Haunting DSP Series- Boxes

In New Zealand, we don’t really celebrate Halloween..maybe a little in the main centres but not really in rural NZ.

So my focus was to concentrate on this Designer Series Paper with a non Halloween theme. This is easily done because Stampin’ Up! have made the other side of the DSP a non Halloween type design.

This week I’m playing with this paper so we will see, what I come up with aye?

First off the rank is a box I did using the Gift Box punch board (which was getting sadly neglected in my craft room).

This box is 4″x 4″ and was for our Daughter, who is at university and who I visited on the weekend.

The topper is made from White filter paper (129393) and the Floral Frames Collection Framelits (127012). The stamp set I used is A Little Something (139830). The black ribbon is 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon (138430).

Inside the box was two more boxes measuring 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ and decorated up (pretty plainly as was running out of time!)

Righto, I’m off to play in my craftroom!

Happy Crafting!

Kraft Series- Last post

If you’ve been following my blog this week,  you will know Ive been showcasing Kraft Cardstock and corrugated paper all week.

These projects I did some time ago as they were done up quickly for Emma’s office (New Zealand Stampin’ Up! Manager)

The tag I made with Corrugated Paper and used my Rotary stamp  to personalise it!  I peeled back the layers around the doilies, added a stamped panel using the Bravo set and a bit of bling, thread and wooden embellishment and I was done.   IMG_2438IMG_2440

This card inspired my other set of cards this week and looks deceptively simple and easy to do ..except being me..I chose the hard way and peeled off all but the last layer of the corrugated paper to have the faux suede look. Not at all quick to do ..let me tell ya!

I coloured with my blender pens on the card, inner and the envelope.

Tomorrow being a new week, I’m concentrating on Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper. Here’s a sneaky peek.

JAI #292 Inspiration Challenge

..Its so frustrating when your computer keyboard decides not to work.  Sorry for the late posting this morning as a result! Grrr!

This week at Just Add Ink, we have an Photo Inspiration Challenge.

Here it is.

I was inspired by the colours and the circles and especially the textures of the circles and here is my card as a result!

I love to do these sorts of cards –using up my little scraps of paper (hence my blog name!) and have done a few of these before.

Here’s the inside.  IMG_2810-001

And rather than decorate an envelope, I decorated a Sketched Dot Gift bag (138316), instead!

Blushing Bride, Smoky slate, Whisper White, Corrugated Cardstocks

And Many More, Bravo and The Wilderness Awaits stamp sets.

White Bakers twine, Silver Sequin trim and mini metallic clothespin.

1/2″, 3/4″, 1″ and 1 3/4″ Circle punches. Owl punch for more circles.

So I hope you can play along with us at Just Add Ink using our photo as inspiration!

Kraft Series- Scrapbooking LO

If you’ve been following along with me this week, I’m showcasing the versatility of our Kraft and Corrugated Cardstock.

I love to scrapbook with Kraft ..from a teaching aspect, like the Basic Black and whisper white, you have 12 sheets pack of Kraft, it is acid and lignin free and it goes with most photos!

Here’s my Layout to show you today!

‘Hello Bro’ is something us New Zealanders say…lots of us shorten it down even further to ‘hey Bro!’ I was determined to use my new thinlit dies (Greeting Thinlits 138275) on this Layout (LO) so ‘hello’ it was!

Several layers to this page but I cut out the centre of the White Corrugated Cardstock (CS) and one of the Kraft CS.

I sponged with Whisper White craft ink around the outside of the Kraft centrepiece. This was to give the focus to the photo, the tearing up the top right hand corner, coming down to the photo, for the same reason.

Ive also used Little Letters Thinlits (133730) and the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits (137547) for the heart, of which I took some of the layers off the corrugated paper. Here’s some closeups

IMG_2796 IMG_2797

The little hearts are from Moments Like These PL Collection but could easily be punched out using the owl punch or confetti hearts border punch. I used White Perfect Accents (138416) and 2 small Metallic Foil Doilies (turned over) (138392).

Finally, my writing is a bit dismal but I’m determined to use it on my LO’s where I can ..messy handwriting and all!

So this is my 10th day blogging every day..go me!

Check out tomorrows post!
